چکیده
T h e present study shows that under suitably chosen condi t ions , the same results of rare gas di f fusion coe f f i c ients can b e obta ined in samples which are reactor irradiated to p r o d u c e a homogeneous concentrat ion of rare gas, and in samples that are labe led with rare gas b y contro l l ed ion b o m b a r d m e n t . In the present study, the di f fusion of krypton in R b l and Cs l was f o u n d to f o l l ow the empir i ca l rule of y i e ld ing activation enthalpies in the range ( 1 . 4 ± 0 . 2 ) x 1 0 ~ 3 Tm e V , with Tm = mel t ing point in ° K . T r a p p i n g of rare gases (gas-gas or gas-damage interact ions) was observed at h igh gas concentrat ion .

Adsorption of Cesium, Strontium, and Rubidium radionuclides in the Mag-molecular process: The influence of important factors
In this study, the adsorption of cesium, strontium, and rubidium radionuclides by ferritin magmolecules in a batch system was investigated under different experimental conditions. The experiments were conducted in a pilot plant that involved the contactor unit and the magnetic separator unit. The impact of the pollutant concentrations, adsorbent concentration, and pH on the efficiency of the pr...

The heat transfer process from pellet to coolant is one of the important issues in nuclear reactor. In this regard, the fuel to clad gap and its physical and chemical properties are effective factors on heat transfer in nuclear fuel rod discussion. So, the energy distribution function of electrons with an energy about 0.5 MeV in fuel rod gap in Busherhr’s VVER-1000 nuclear reactor was investiga...
متن کاملTransport and Release Properties of Gaseous and Volatile Fission Products in Nuclear Fuels – Relevance and State of Art of Their Characterisations in the Laboratory
Introduction Safe operation of a nuclear reactor depends to a large extent on the behaviour of different fission products generated within the fuel. While most of the fission products settle down as dissolved state in the fuel matrix or as separate phases, the gaseous products, xenon(Xe), and krypton(Kr), and the volatile products, iodine(I), tellurium(Te), cesium(Cs), and rubidium(Rb), underg...
متن کاملLOW-ENERGY-ION ENHANCED DIFFUSION AT THE SURFACE OF METALS
Radiation enhanced diffusion at the surface of metals has been observed and studied for low-energy nitrogen ions at the surface of copper. The displacement of the target atoms during irradiation creates vacancies and other defects near the surface, thus enhancing the diffusion of implanted materials toward the surface and also into the solid. The mechanism has been studied here by a specia...
متن کاملSimulation of the cathode surface damages in a HOPFED during ion bombardment
Most vacuum devices are hampered by ion bombardment due to residual gases. Sometimes, it causes the breakdown of devices and shortens their life. In this article, the effect of the ion bombardment on the cathode surface in a structure of a field emission display was simulated. In this structure, a special type of spacer was used, named “hop” and “flu” spacer. The trajectories of electrons emitt...
